Members were delighted that so many of the public visited their Annual Exhibition at the Canterbury Festival weekend.
Almost 200 mounted images were on display, some of which were for sale. A steady flow of over 250 visitors throughout the day also enjoyed a selection of homemade cakes donated by club members.
The exhibition formed part of Canterbury Festival’s Visual Arts programme. Key stage 3 Archbishop’s School students also took part in the event and provided a variety of close up and macro prints.
Club member Steve Silk volunteers his time encouraging clients of the Fifth Trust to capture images. The trust supports adults with learning difficulties and several of their creative prints were also on display.
Visitors were encouraged to vote for their favourite image. George Aldridge and John Howard were close runners up but Lyn Gregory was the overall winner with her woodland autumnal image Light and Mist.
