2nd SEPTEMBER 2015 - Members' Evening
Our first meeting on 2nd September was a chance to catch up with what members had done over the summer months and welcome new and existing members.
There was a display of images by members and a bring and buy book sale together with various techniques which were discussed including how to mount prints properly and a selection of prints showing his recent visit to New Zealand.
Our next meeting on Sept 9th will be a general critique of members prints and dpi's that they have been working on.
Entries are required for the first digital competition with the set subject title of 'A is for '
9th SEPTEMBER - Show and Tell
On 9th September members enjoyed a selection of some top quality projected images from The Vale of Evesham National image competition.
This was followed by several members moving outside where the weather was fine and after dark we tried our hand at some various forms of light painting including 'painting' the nearby tree with light from torches and using long exposures.
The next meeting on 23rd will be our first competition of the season when the set subject is 'A' is for.
23rd SEPTEMBER - First League Competition (DPI)
At our recent meeting club members took part in the first competition of the season. This was in the digital projected section with the set subject of 'A' is for, followed after the break by the open section.
With such a set subject there were a broad range of entries ranging from aircraft to artists and flowers beginning with 'A' and so on. Our judge for the evening was Ray Bridges from Maidstone and he selected the following winning images

The meeting on 7th October is a members' evening based around digital instruction and ideas.
30th SEPTEMBER - Photoshop Tutorial by Jack Casement
At last Wednesday's meeting members enjoyed an evening of Photoshop tutorials and ideas from Jack Casement.
There were many varied and detailed examples shown of how images can be altered especially to include special text manipulations. An interesting evening during which members were able to learn new ideas and techniques for using this popular software.
Our next meeting on 14th October will be a members open evening when we will set up various workshops for members to get involved in, with portrait, macro and other types of photography all being demonstrated and shared amongst Club members.
14th OCTOBER - Members' Evening
At our last meeting members enjoyed a mixed evening.
The first half was given over to our resident photographic astronomer John Kemp who kept us all enthralled with his information concerning the recent lunar eclipse and showed a wonderful photographic sequence of the even he had put together. John also commented on several image provided and taken by Club members and congratulated them on their efforts to record the event.
The second half of the evening was spent mostly admiring pictures from a National competition and learning some more information about Photoshop tools.
Our next meeting on 28th October will be our first competition evening for prints with the set subject being 'Black and White'
28th OCTOBER - Second League Competition (Print)
At our last meeting members took part in our first print competition of the season. The set subject was 'Black and White' and the judge Helen Taylor from Dungeness.
There were a wide range of images on view which were all commented on by the judge who gave constructive criticism and made helpful remarks on how they might be improved and adjusted.
The results were as follows :-

Our next meeting is on 11th November when John Read will hold a workshop entitled 'an inkjet printing masterclass'
7th OCTOBER - Digital Instruction
The member's enjoyed an informative meeting on various digital techniques in Photoshop. These techniques are aimed at helping members to process their images during post-processing to make for a better photograph.
