9th  March  2016 - Members' Evening

At the recent members evening we had the opportunity to set up and try the new equipment comprising a projector and laptop which will enhance our future viewing experience. Whilst this unfortunately took quite a while to achieve the end result proved a huge improvement on the images on screen.

Members that had attended a Club outing last year to Anglesey and Llanberis each  gave their own selection of Digital projected images and prints together with some amusing anecdotes of what took place!  John Howard who has rejoined the Club after a gap of about twenty years then presented some Black and White images that had been produced in his darkroom and been very successful in exhibitions and competitions.

Barry Amos then gave us his thoughts on how he has invested in his equipment over many years and his reasoning for keeping mostly to the use of film and then scanning and saving the images as digital files.

Our next meeting on the 23rd March is a print competition when the set subject will

be ' Landscapes and Seascapes' followed as usual by the open section judged by Glyn Bareham LRPS CPAGB.

23rd March  2016 -  8th League Competition (Print)

After having to judge a wide ranging selection of images he came to the following conclusions on the work presented to him.
