Canterbury Photographic Society
The Canterbury Photographic Society took part in an external competition, The East Kent Trophy, on Thursday 2nd May.
CPS battled against Thanet, Gateway, Deal and Folkestone camera clubs. These occasions are great for getting to see the standard of work that other local clubs are producing and an opportunity to socialise with their members, and was well supported by our Society.
As the hosts of the competition this year, Gateway Camera Club Committee were very welcoming at a new venue at The Cricketers Public House, Crabble Avenue, CT17 0JB, to have sufficient space for everyone.
Our judge for the evening was Mrs Kirsty Ralfs, ARPS and a KCPA Premier Judge.
Each Club was asked to submit 4 prints and 4 PDIs. The four entries in each class had to be from different photographers, although one photographer was allowed to enter one image in each class.
The Canterbury Photographic Society did rather well. Congratulations to all those whose work represented the club and to the selection committee for putting forward what they considered some of the member's best work.
Pat on the back for CPS at this prestigious event for coming Second!:
